Robyn's new challenge

never an easy card to make
Todays challenge at Robyns fetish challenge is anything goes, so I thought I would use the Lily digi to make a sympathy card, I do think this type can be one of the hardest types to make in keeping it simple and understated but still pleasing to the eye, Pro markers were used to colour the image going with lighter tones to suit the theme, and also i used the crosses from spellbindes and layered these on finally finishing off with the with sympathy sentiment peel off, I kept the overall size of the card to 4 inches square keeping the embellishments as the focal point.
Check out the other DT's work on their blogs (found in my side bar) and get entering this weeks challenge, have fun and loads of luck wished to you all.

Prizes for the winner will be 3 digi's of your choice from the store.

I Visited the n.e.c yesterday and met up with a lady chris who I chat away with on facebook and gladly call friend, she had previously told me about getting engaged, which led to me making this card, I have used spell binders dies, marianne bird on a branch and the birdhouse is by X cut, the card is a good gsm from crafters companion, the paper is by papermania and the flowers and beads from my stash, finished of with a bow and faux stitching, hope you like it.

This little digi is skating and only released Sunday but you can still get her in the shop.

I changed a cut design to a print and cut for this one,I did an offsett to the digi and welded it onto the background, set my print marks then cut, I used rymans white card smooth, as I like to cut with it but recently realized that I love using my pro markers with it as it gives a great finish, i used glitter glue for the bottom of her skirt and the holly berries, then decided to glitter the sentiment to, I like christmas cards as you can get away with mixing colour-ways more freely, then I mounted the finished topper onto a dark green background and then onto a pale green card blank, hope you like it

MEET Lil'Bec

Oh such fun I have been having with this beautiful digi stamp, She is called Lil'Bec and based on the lovely
niece of Kat Dunn, wow so much to say, as you are aware I love designing with my cammie and most cards will have some element of my obsession, not this time as
  ~~~I wanted this little character to take centre stage~~~
 the digi is called washing day and her story is on the designers blog, but she was never meant to be
a digi, but when I saw her for the first time, I just knew she will be a character that everyone i'm sure will want to get to know in all her growing antics, the background I made using elements from my serif which I recently updated and is giving me loads of grief, must look into it, busy busy busy.
NEWS......Exciting, well if its not enough that we have a wonderful up and coming brand new to the industry of digi design, designer but she will be running a DT call shortly, she knows there is wonderful talent out there that would love to play around with these digi and so has started her blog and is in the process of creating her shop, would you like to be part of her team, she will be putting details up soon, now I know your wondering if I am ever going to tell her blog details, yes yes, I will I promise any moment, but just take a mo to gaze on the cheeky little face of Lil'Bec and imagine the mischief she will be getting upto.
DETAILS....without further ado pop on over and see the work in progress, become a follower so you dont miss the DT call and take the chance on becoming the ground stone to a brand new venture........
saved, I had put this one in the bin, I just was'nt getting the feel for it, but luckily it got a reprieve thanks to Nicky at polkadoodles. this weeks challenge is season and teal, so I sat thinking and duh the brain cogs finally kicked  in and a rumaging I went luckily for me the bag had not
 been put outside, so the card was'nt ruined, anyway with a bit of bling added and ribbon to finish of this
card, Here it is.
I used the wonderful papers and images from the picknix 12
Gingerbread twist CD.
I designed the base with my cameo to make the cut out rocker element,
the card is coloured in teal shades with Tim Holtz distress pens I added faux stitching in places, then added bling in the smaller holes and on the holly berries, now it is growing on me so maybe teal will become a colour of choice, hmmmmm, still thinking about that one.
Christmas flower card
crimbo is coming
 Have been busy designing cut outs still themed on the original flower that i designed using a different lace effect,
I decided to change this one into a christmas card using 3 free stamps I have got with magazines this year, thought i would break with tradition and opted for a green and orange tone, the images were coloured in with the new Tim Holtz distress markers which i love, and I distressed the edges of the card base and the centre of the lace topper, I also added glitter to all the berries baubles and bells, finished with a little bow.
I am entering this card into the fashionista challenge
Hello everyone,
just a quick post to show you the new cut out flower i designed yesterday, i kept it simple and just inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress pads.
Tattered rose and
Victorian velvet, i then added sentiments
from marie ann designs and i added 3 little flowers coloured with pro markers, hope you like.
The last couple of weeks have been really hard, my future sister in law past away, and this not only has caused all the family much upset but there now is a big gaping hole that wont ever be filled, love you dawn.
This in turn has caused my other half to have seizures as this is his bodys way of expressing his feelings as he has aspergers also, so as a family in our own right,
my little pods of peas are worn out.
We said are farewells yesterday it was a lovely service and so many attended,
 she was much loved was are dawn.
Anyway this morning I found that i had won the weekly challenge no 35 at polkadoodles, its a great feeling to know something good can still happen when your trying to put a brave face on things with a smile, to find that i really could smile for real, thank you for that polkadoodles.
They have a new challenge this week its all about ice cream colours why not go and check it out.
This card i was asked to make late last night,
 i had some of the elements already made and was just deciding on how i wanted to put them together.
and this is what i came up with, the base and oval i designed and cut out with my trusty cameo, i added my own digi of flowers and coloured these in with pro markers.
The background is yellow card from my stash which i embossed
with a spellbinders embossing folder PATCHWORK.
The edges of the oval and edges of card were distressed with Tim Holtz scattered straw ink pad
Then i added a secret tag which pops down the back of the floral oval, then i added ribbon, organza satin edged in gold, wuth a carnation and ivy leaves then i added a tiny little humming bird charm.
To finish of the front of the card i added a butterfly inked to tone, some string beads to act as the butterflies trails, a happy birthday topper by Anne Marie designs, another flower and ivy leaves. I am entering this card into the polkadoodles challenge
