IT WAS IN THE BIN

OH DEAR

saved, I had put this one in the bin, I just was'nt getting the feel for it, but luckily it got a reprieve thanks to Nicky at polkadoodles. this weeks challenge is season and teal, so I sat thinking and duh the brain cogs finally kicked  in and a rumaging I went luckily for me the bag had not
been put outside, so the card was'nt ruined, anyway with a bit of bling added and ribbon to finish of this
card, Here it is.

I used the wonderful papers and images from the picknix 12
Gingerbread twist CD.
I designed the base with my cameo to make the cut out rocker element,
the card is coloured in teal shades with Tim Holtz distress pens I added faux stitching in places, then added bling in the smaller holes and on the holly berries, now it is growing on me so maybe teal will become a colour of choice, hmmmmm, still thinking about that one.

Christmas flower card

crimbo is coming

Have been busy designing cut outs still themed on the original flower that i designed using a different lace effect,

I decided to change this one into a christmas card using 3 free stamps I have got with magazines this year, thought i would break with tradition and opted for a green and orange tone, the images were coloured in with the new Tim Holtz distress markers which i love, and I distressed the edges of the card base and the centre of the lace topper, I also added glitter to all the berries baubles and bells, finished with a little bow.

I am entering this card into the fashionista challenge

Hmmmmmm

The last couple of weeks have been really hard, my future sister in law past away, and this not only has caused all the family much upset but there now is a big gaping hole that wont ever be filled, love you dawn.
This in turn has caused my other half to have seizures as this is his bodys way of expressing his feelings as he has aspergers also, so as a family in our own right,
my little pods of peas are worn out.
We said are farewells yesterday it was a lovely service and so many attended,
she was much loved was are dawn.
Anyway this morning I found that i had won the weekly challenge no 35 at polkadoodles, its a great feeling to know something good can still happen when your trying to put a brave face on things with a smile, to find that i really could smile for real, thank you for that polkadoodles.
They have a new challenge this week its all about ice cream colours why not go and check it out.

A LITTLE BIRDIE TOLD ME

 IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY

This card i was asked to make late last night,
i had some of the elements already made and was just deciding on how i wanted to put them together.
and this is what i came up with, the base and oval i designed and cut out with my trusty cameo, i added my own digi of flowers and coloured these in with pro markers.
The background is yellow card from my stash which i embossed
with a spellbinders embossing folder PATCHWORK.
The edges of the oval and edges of card were distressed with Tim Holtz scattered straw ink pad

Then i added a secret tag which pops down the back of the floral oval, then i added ribbon, organza satin edged in gold, wuth a carnation and ivy leaves then i added a tiny little humming bird charm.
To finish of the front of the card i added a butterfly inked to tone, some string beads to act as the butterflies trails, a happy birthday topper by Anne Marie designs, another flower and ivy leaves. I am entering this card into the polkadoodles challenge

A Little bag of somthing

 Surprise

Hi everyone,
I was asked to make a card
that featured a bag, a cat, and shopping.
And this is what I came up with,
the bag I designed on my cameo, layered a polka dot paper by Papermania (chatsworth) signature
A4 paper pack, inside facing outwards, added satin edged organza ribbon in rose with a cat charm to the front, taking the ribbon inside.
The opening is fastened with a  velcro dot, inside on the back panel I made a card with 2 panels to open, and decorated with some paper I had in my stash,
sorry I can not remember the name of it, I cut this into panels and inked the edges with
Tim Holtz tattered Rose ink pad. And then drew
on faux stitching, I took 2 images from the paper
and backed these onto card trimmed round the edges leaving a lip at the bottom to fold for the images to stand up, I then found some layered girly stickers which i dotted around then tied the ribbon in a bow and added flowers and swirls.
then finally added an  Ann Marie sentiment which I inked to tone.

hope you like it, the inside looks like a little theatre.I w

It's all flowers

playing with flowers

Hello I have been playing with flowers today, taking white ones and colouring them in with pro markers to match the image, the image I used was from the polkadoodles cd pretty sweet, its an older one but I love this cd, the images are great for working with,I am entering this card into the polkadoodles weekly challenge, which is flowers, which prompted me to design a card which in its self is a flower and the topper base is a lattice flower which I designed on my cameo.

decided to make an easel card as they are a favourite of mine, I used TimHoltz distress pads to blend the edges and colour the leaves an pro markers for the digi image. I have also entered into the digi galore blog challenge.

Snowflakes are winter kisses

Another crimbo card
This card was made using free stamps from polkadoodles, that I got in a magazine
it has an acetate wrap and cutout card fancy holly and berries wrap ends, I added a background of winter trees and a cutout layer.
I then stamped the image onto an oval and coloured with pro markers, placed a polka dot ribbon at the top, layered on using 3d foam pads, placed the acetate in place and glued the ends to the acetate, added a sentiment and stickle dots to look like snow.
